|
|
Dean Koontz is a New York Times best selling author, with books published in 38 languages. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania, where he began dating his wife, Gerda, during his senior year of high school. They married four years later; in a way, Dean owes his writing career to her. Dean was working for a year and a half as an English teacher outside Harrisburg when Gerda, made him an offer he couldn't refuse: "I'll support you for five years," she said, "and if you can't make it as a writer in that time, you'll never make it." Five years later, Gerda quit her job to run the business end of Dean's writing career. Dean and Gerda live in southern California.
In Odd Hours, Odd Thomas is haunted by dreams of an all-encompassing red tide. He is pulled inexorably to the sea, to a small California coastal town where nothing is as it seems. Now the forces against him have both official sanction and an infinitely more sinister authority...and in this dark night of the soul, dawn will come only after the most shattering revelations of all. |
